Public Register Scotland

SEPA has a duty to allow reasonable access to the public register documents that it holds.

Until recently, you could only inspect the public register at one of our offices. We are now moving information online, this is a long term project and will be carried out over several years. We are providing access to this information through this Beta release (first version of a new service) and would like your feedback on its use.

Due to SEPA office closures we cannot facilitate the public register being viewed in person during this time. Please email registry@sepa.org.uk with any request for public register information and we will get back to you and do our best to provide it electronically as soon as possible.

What does this Public Register cover?

This register contains documentation and information on SEPA’s permits for operations in Scotland that fall under the Pollution Prevention and Control Part A legislation and medium combustion plant permits that fall under the Pollution Prevention and Control Part B legislation. More information on Pollution Prevention and Control is available on our website.

Other permits will be added over the next few years.

The information provided on this Public Register has been processed by the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA) as per the Data Protection Act 1998. We are currently cleansing all personal information from the documentation so you may not find what you are looking for. If this is the case, please contact registry@sepa.org.uk.
